Phoenix, AZ – Today, Kimberly Yee announced the endorsements of Dr. Williamson Evers, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education and Senior Fellow at the Independent Institute and Dr. Vicki Alger, member of the U.S. Department of Education Agency Action Team for then President-Elect Trump and Research Fellow at the Independent Institute. They will both serve as advisors to the campaign on education policy.
“I have worked with Treasurer Yee and know firsthand that she has the temperament, knowledge, and character to do a fabulous job,” Dr. Evers said. “I know personally about her opposition to Common Core and her support for high academic standards. She will be resolute in defending and enhancing Arizona’s parental choice plans and doing everything possible to help the children learn and thrive.”
“Kimberly Yee is an unwavering advocate of rigorous academic standards, parental control over their children’s education, and greater learning opportunities for all students,” Dr. Alger said. “Her experience, expertise, and proven commitment are some of the leading reasons why I support Kimberly Yee for Governor.”
“I am honored to have the endorsements of Dr. Evers and Dr. Alger, two of the leading education experts in the country as members of my education advisory team. I have a strong, conservative record of advancing school choice opportunities, protecting parental choice, teaching U.S. history and civics education, and holding school administration accountable so that funding flows directly to the students in the classroom.”
